Dedicated to Excellence
‘The Roshe School has enriched the Sussex dance world for 60 years and have built a school of high standards introducing young people to the joy of movement.’
Dame Beryl Grey, DBE, Roshe Patron
‘It is a great honour to be Patron of Roshe Performing Arts. I have watched the students evolve over the years with great interest and am always very moved by the wonderful family ethos that seems to be fostered throughout the school.’
Francesca Filpi, Roshe Patron
Pupils come to us who want to enjoy dance as a hobby or are keen to enter the profession in years to come. Whatever their ambition every pupil is treated equally and given the same high quality training to prepare them for the future.
As part of their training pupils get ample opportunity to perform on stage.
What makes us and our students so successful is the care and attention of our teaching. Following internationally recognised and respected syllabi (ISTD & RAD), we prepare each pupil for each grade to the most Advanced Student level where they can either use their high Advanced exam towards University UCAS points or gain entry to the country’s leading full-time colleges.
What makes us different is that we train the pupils to develop and progress at a speed they can cope with. We don’t join large age groups together and we don’t wait until a whole class is ready. Children take an exam when they are ready and not held back. Exams help develop a pupil’s determination and sense of achievement.
Classes are held in the Crawley and East Grinstead area. We are not interested in opening 500 schools. We want to concentrate and develop the talent there is in this area. Classes are available in Felbridge, East Grinstead, Three Bridges, Pound Hill and Maidenbower areas.
We also perform in East Grinstead at Chequer Mead with touring companies and in Crawley at The Hawth we produce our own show for a week, provide children for touring companies and supplied all the Children & Students for Pantomime for 25 years. We also provide all the Children & Students for Pantomime at Chequer Mead.
Who knows if they have a flair for a particular style? Ballet is also recognised as the grounding and basis of all dance and this helps their standard in all the other dance forms. we take the training of your child seriously because that is what you expect and you deserve value for money.
We are not a weekend school. To give a child the best (and they deserve it) and to fulfil their true potential, we operate Monday to Saturday and some Sundays so they have the opportunity to learn all the separate disciplines properly.
